2011 birth-year exception: A player born in 2011 may select either the gender-appropriate U15 category or Open category during registration. The selected category governs event eligibility.
All Foreign Players wishing to participate must be duly registered with SLTPL and shall be eligible for selection only through the official Player Auction or Draft process, unless retained strictly under an applicable retained-player provision.
A Foreign Player means any player who is not a Sri Lankan citizen and is not domiciled in Sri Lanka, irrespective of dual nationality. SLTPL has the authority to determine final eligibility and classification.
Franchisees are strictly prohibited from entering into private agreements, inducements, assurances, or pre-arranged commitments with any Foreign Player outside the official Player Auction or Draft process.
Each franchisee is responsible for all foreign-player travel, accommodation, meals, local transport, visa, immigration, travel insurance, and medical insurance costs relating to tournament participation.
Foreign-player accommodation and logistics must meet SLTPL operational protocols, including security, anti-doping, media commitments, and medical requirements. SLTPL may recommend or reject proposed hotels where standards are not met.
